R-22 FREON PHASE OUT

​THE U.S. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA) ANNOUNCED ITS FINAL PHASEDOWN SCHEDULE REGARDING PRODUCTION AND IMPORTATION OF HCFC-22 ON OCT. 16. THE ORDER CALLS FOR AN IMMEDIATE DROP FROM 51 MILLION POUNDS ALLOWED IN 2014 TO 22 MILLION POUNDS BEGINNING JAN. 1, 2015. SUBSEQUENTLY, 18 MILLION POUNDS OF NEW AND IMPORTED R-22 WILL BE ALLOWED IN 2016, 13 MILLION POUNDS IN 2017, 9 MILLION POUNDS IN 2018, AND 4 MILLION POUNDS IN 2019. NO NEW OR IMPORTED R-22 WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE U.S. ON OR AFTER JAN. 1, 2020.

INSTALLATION

WE OFFER FREE ESTIMATES, AND INSTALL ALL BRANDS AND TYPES OF AIR CONDITIONING AND HEATING EQUIPMENT, INCLUDING WATER HEATERS. 


BEFORE THE INSTALLATION:

  • Onsite inspection to verify conditions
  • Complete load calculation of your home to accurately match your equipment to your specific needs
  • Inspect existing duct for leaks
  • Engineer a system to take care of your needs
  • Provide a quote with at least two options that fit your budget

DURING THE INSTALLATION: 

  • Protect your home using covers, tarps, and drop cloths
  • Completely remove and recycle any existing equipment
  • Install balancing dampers to promote even air flow throughout the home
  • Install vibration isolators to reduce noise within your home
  • Use external insulation to remove fiberglass from air stream
  • Optimize system for maximum comfort while minimizing energy costs

AFTER THE INSTALLATION: 

  • Registration of all product warranty coverage for your new equipment
  • Conduct a 33-point Quality Control Audit by our Installation Manager
  • Perform a whole home air balance
